We felt the love on opening night when we had our “unified entrance” into the orchestra pit!
From the Musicians of the Minnesota Opera Orchestra
At last night’s MN Opera opening of The Daughter Of The Regiment the orchestra played with passion and appreciation, feeling the outpouring of support from the those in attendance when we made our “unified entrance” into the orchestra pit. What an ovation! Lots of “solidarity red” to be seen in the audience—thank you!
It was great to be playing together as an orchestra under the direction of maestro Kelly Kuo and to be back in our beloved Ordway orchestra pit with such an amazing cast, the world-class Minnesota Opera Chorus, beautiful sets, lighting, costumes and stage crew. We love doing our work together as an orchestra in collaboration with all of these folks—Opera is amazing!
